Handwritten and typed sermons, mainly 1909-1924, delivered by Theodore Rush Faville, superintendent of the Wisconsin Congregational Conference. The majority of the sermons were presented while Faville was pastor of the First Congregational Church of Kenosha (1913-1918) and the First Congregational Church of Oshkosh (1918-1922), or as a visiting minister to other Wisconsin churches after he was appointed superintendent in 1922. Faville was the son of the Reverend Henry Faville of La Crosse whose papers are separately cataloged. Together, the two collections provide excellent representation of Congregational thought in Wisconsin over a half century. Also included are a few addresses by Faville on secular topics.
